Introducing: Rough Notes Big Ass Watch Party in Chicago
I'm throwing a free March Madness watch party this Sunday: the vibe is 'friend's living room,' just bigger.

For the last few years, I’ve invited a bunch of friends to my living room in Chicago to watch the women’s basketball championship during NCAA March Madness. We’d share drinks & food (typically a giant cheese board) and blast the game (but mute it during commercials) and scream and yell and jump around. This year, with Rough Notes newly launched, I want to do the very same thing… just a little bit bigger.
Come to Rough Notes’ Big Ass Watch Party this Sunday in Chicago, including a shared community tailgate/potluck, followed by the NCAA national championship game broadcast. This will be an informal (duh) gathering of folks who love women’s basketball with my friends from Babe’s Sports Bar, a new kind of sports bar centering women athletes and their fans and opening May-ish, 2025 in Logan Square (also great to follow on Instagram.)
Come early for a tailgate & potluck at 1:00PM CST before the national championship game begins at 2:00PM CST. BYO food, sharing is encouraged!
If you’re in Chicago, I hope to see you there. I can’t wait to eat & drink & watch women’s basketball together & meet you. And yes, I will bring the cheese plate lol.
